  1. Netflix is definitely trying to do something to bring in a fresh batch of subscribers, but after the last eight months I can see why the subscriber pool they currently have would be a little stressed out. Now, had this been early last year I think that Netflix would have received a warm reception rather than the door slammed in their faces that they got from some providers this year. Streaming options are now a big value point with industry providers; Comcast has launched Streampix for their subscribers and DISH has partnered with Blockbuster, to name a couple. I used to have Netflix before they raised prices. When that happened I started looking for better deals and I found them with the Blockbuster @home plan, which adds 20 movies channels to my receiver on top of streaming movies and shows to the television and computer. If I can’t find something to wet my chops there, I have DVD by mail with in store exchange on thousands of titles available to me. It was the right answer for me and lets me enjoy more of what I enjoy watching.
