Samsung mobile sales reach all-time high in Q3

In its recent third-quarter earnings report, Samsung said its�telecommunications�business achieved record quarterly sales of 14.90 trillion won, up 37% from the same period last year. The unit shipped 27.9 million smartphones during the period, 10 million more than Apple shipped during the same quarter, pushing Samsung�into the top smartphone spot globally. Those sales resulted in a record operating profit of 2.52 trillion won for the telecommunications business. Hit the break for more.
